In Henry Gershwin's music "Embraceable You," the "you" is the one being accepted. Instead, let's make "you" the individual doing the adopting. That is, you are one who holds. So these days we keep a reflection up to you, the acting professional, the individual who holds, the acting professional in the act of adopting.

AN IDEAL EMBRACER

Within the last several weeks I have seen 100+ actors get into a space to meeting / try out. One -- yes, only one -- stepped in having the position. He built power all over the space. He targeted on me, not on himself or the impact he was creating.

His "Hello" associated an ear-to-ear grin that achieved his sight.. He joined, welcomed, smiled, and without saying anything else sent a message: "I am so grateful to be here. Isn't this just GREAT! I am GREAT! You are GREAT! The globe is GREAT!" What a role-winning message! What an A+ preliminary impression! What an adopting actor!

His who audition personality was a satisfaction, especially after the actors who tippy-toed in, exuding quietly, "Oh Zeus, is she going to chew me!" The man with the grin got an immediate elect by adopting himself, me, the scenario with a infected satisfaction. The others accepted their self-doubts, their uncertainty, and their anticipations of being rejected, their "vulnerability."
